Isaiah --- Given Awesome Insight

The book of Isaiah is very often referred to as "the fifth gospel" by Biblical scholars because it speaks of the Messiah in a completeness that is both engaging and inspiring.  It powerfully outlines our need for a Savior and then provides for us an earnest expectation of our Salvation.  There are so many areas of profound knowledge in the book that are revealed nowhere else in Scripture.  I have tried to reference the areas --- the verses --- that have the most immediate significance to me.  I have also included some commentaries.

Isa 1:3  The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.

Isa 1:4  Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.

Isa 1:9  Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.

Isa 1:13  Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.

Isa 1:14  Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.

Isa 1:15  And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

Isa 1:18  Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Isa 1:19  If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

Isa 1:27  Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.

In the first few verses of the book, Isaiah gives us the essence of our human needThese words may be applied to any people or nation that once was aware of God and followed God and then departed from Gods ways.

Isa 2:2  And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

Isa 2:3  And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

Isa 2:4  And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

Isa 2:5  O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.

In the second verse of the second chapter we are brought to the triumph of Israel after the tribulation of the "end time". Nations are often Biblically characterized as mountains.  Verse four is one of the most recognized passages in all the Bible.

Isa 2:11  The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

Isa 2:12  For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:

The "day of the Lord" is mentioned three more times in Isaiah, twice in Ezekiel,  four times in Joel, seven times in Zephaniah and in seven other books including the New Testament.

Isa 2:20  In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;

Isa 2:21  To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.

The gold and silver idols will have no value when they could not prevent complete destruction.  Also, there are so many places in other books that show  the terrible shaking will result with the mountains being brought low.  It is most  important to carefully consider the context when the subject of mountains is being spoken of.  Is it referring to physical mountains or nations?  One example is Rev. 16:20:  And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.            We know that there will continue to be "nations" during the millennium.

Isa 3:12  As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.

This is so clearly self explanatory and so much relating to our present time.  .

Isa 3:25  Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war

Isa 4:1  And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.

Mathew Henry:  notwithstanding the humbling providences they were under

(Isa.  3:18), they remained unhumbled, and, instead of repenting of their pride and

vanity, when God was contending with them for them, all their care was to get

            husbands.

Isa 5:20  Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Isa 5:23  Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!

There is such a great percentage of our society that is dedicated to self serving

ways (the value of God's ways ridiculed) that eventually will bring about suffering

            and a finally national destruction.

Isa 6:8  Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

Isa 6:9  And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.

Isa 6:10  Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.

Isa 6:11  Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,

Maurer:  Render them the more hardened by thy warnings”

.

Isa 7:11  Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.

Isa 7:12  But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD .  (how can God be tempted by his own command)

Isa 7:13  And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also?

Isa 7:14  Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Ahaz did not want a sign (God's credibility) but got one anyway regardless of how

capable he was of understanding it.

Isa 9:2  The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shined. [English Standard Version]

Isa 9:6  For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isa 9:7  Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.

These prophetic words are beyond compare.

Isa 10:21  The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.

Isa 10:22  For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.

This speaks to those who survive the end time tribulation and the wrath of God.

Refined as silver is refined and tried as gold is tried. (Zechariah 13:9)

Isa 11:1  And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:

Isa 11:2  And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

Isa 11:5  And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

Isa 11:6  The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

Isa 11:7  And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

Isa 11:8  And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.

Isa 11:9  They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

Isa 11:10  And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

Isa 13:12  I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.

Isa 13:13  Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

Isa 13:19  And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

Isa 13:20  It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there.

By the time of the end of this age mankind will be extremely reduced in numberNot

only will the mountains be leveled the earth will have a change in its axis resulting with the earth

being "removed out of its place" (see The New Heavens  and The New Earth paper).  In regards

to Babylon, this stands true for Babylon to our present time.

Isa 14:12  How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Isa 14:13  For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

Isa 14:14  I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Isa 14:15  Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

Isa 14:16  They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

Isa 14:17  That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

This is one of the few times that Satan is spoken of in such a direct manner.

Isa 16:1  Send ye the lamb to the ruler of the land from Sela (rock) to the wilderness, unto the mount of the daughter of Zion.

Isa 16:4  Let mine outcasts dwell with thee, Moab; be thou a covert to them from the face of the spoiler:

for the extortioner is at an end, the spoiler ceaseth, the oppressors are consumed out of the land.

Some think that this is another reference to Petra as being an end-time hiding        place.

Isa 17:1  The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

Damascus was rebuilt twice after its previous destructions. This prophecy reveals that it will

altogether cease from being a city. This is anticipated by many as being a part of the end time

        events.

Isa 19:24  In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land:

Isa 19:25  Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.

These are some awesome words given regarding the future of Egypt and Assyria.  This

conclusively shows that the Assyrian people exist today.  Many studies have shown that the

Syrians are not any part of the descendants of Assyria.

Isa 24:19  The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.

Isa 24:20  The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.

Isa 24:21  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.

Isa 24:22  And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited.

This is a another prophecy providing a dramatic picture of when the earth is moved out of its present axis and of the gathering together of the armies of the earth for the  "Day of the Lord"  (Armageddon)

Isa 25:7  And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.

Isa 25:8  He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.

Isa 25:9  And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

The following is just one of the many, many revelations from God that there has    been a covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.  2Co 4:3  But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:     2Co 4:4  In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of  them which  believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of  God, should  shine unto them.  This world has waited a very long time for the  "Salvation of the Lord" to be made available to the people of this world.  It will be a reality after the tribulation at the end of this age.

Isa 26:10  Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD.

Isa 26:11  LORD, when thy hand is lifted up, they will not see: but they shall see, and be ashamed for their envy at the people; yea, the fire of thine enemies shall devour them.

Isa 26:12  LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us.

Isa 26:13  O LORD our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name.

Isa 26:14  They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.

I have a certain understanding of these verses but have hesitated to describe it    --- but I will.  At the time of the execution of judgment, being the "eighth day",  those who refused the way of God will be destroyed.  All those who have God's  Spirit dwelling in them will inherit eternal life becoming spiritual beings in nature.     1Co 15:44  it is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.  And 1 Cor 15:50  Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither       doth corruption inherit incorruption.  Those determined to destruction, can not  "levitate" or rise, as the saved spirit natured ones can do, but will be taken hold of and then cast into the lake of fire.

Isa 26:19  Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

This would be speaking of the resurrection of the "first fruit" for sure and then in   addition, likely, the general resurrection.   Rev 20:But the rest of the dead  lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.  ----  This reference to the "first resurrection" is speaking to verses  Rev. 20:4 and Rev. 20:6. and "the rest of the dead" being a parenthetical thought.

Isa 26:20  Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.

Isa 26:21  For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place" to punish" the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

This is another promise of protection given to those who are not to be "punished".  Whether it refers to a Petra type protection or protection in one's own home, I don't know.  Verse 21 may be considered a direct reference to

Revelation 19:17-18 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a

loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; ------   That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.   Also,  Eze 39:14  And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search.

Isa 27:12  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel.

Isa 27:13  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.

The house of Israel and the house of Judah will be gathered from the nations to  begin the rule of the  righteous government of God.  This is spoken of by other scripture.  The following, being an example.  Eze 36:24.   For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.   Eze 36:25  Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I  cleanse you.  The "great trumpet" spoken of in verse 13 is the one and only time that that term is used in the Bible. I have taken the sounding of the "great trumpet" to be the sounding of the "seventh" trumpet of the Book of Revelation.     It is precisely at that time that Jesus takes rulership of the earth from Satan and the resurrection of the saints takes place.  There is no other sounding of a trumpet, in the Bible, that can begin to compare in greatness. It is also important    to understand that the Hebrew words "shall be blown" are important to the context of verses 12 and 13.  The sound of that trumpet will be a "taw-kah" sound.  Each time the words trumpet, blow, and gather are used together, the trumpet makes a "taw-kah" sound. That great trumpet sound will be used at  the resurrection of the saints and the stripping away of all authority that Satan        previously had.  Mat 24:31  And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.   Rev 11:15  And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become  the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and    ever.  But Isaiah 27:13 is in reference to physical Israel.  It is apparent then that the gathering of the remnant of Israel will begin at the same time that the saints are taken to be with Jesus.

Isa 28:9  Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.

Isa 28:10  For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

Isa 28:11  For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.

Isa 28:12  To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

Isa 28:13  But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

As we grow in Biblical understanding we know how true these words are.  The   book of Isaiah is the personification of how God has delivered the Bible to us.   God continues to show the intent to keep truth hidden from the "world".  (Mat     11:25)  At that season Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of  heaven and earth, that thou didst hide these things from the wise and   understanding, and didst reveal them unto babes:    1Co 2:7  but we speak God’s  wisdom in a mystery, even the wisdom that hath been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds unto our glory:

Isa 28:15  Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:

Isa 28:16  Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

Isa 28:17  Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.

The manifold lying, conspicuous lying, that is free flowing, particularly in the political arena, is a condition that has grown to the absurd. The cornerstone that will sweep it away is mentioned four other times in God's word.

Isa 29:13  Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

Isa 29:14  Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.

There are so many that profess to understand and preach the "truths of God".  The "marvelous work" will reveal the sublime truth that has been hidden.

Isa 30:20  And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers:

Isa 30:21  And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

There will be physical teachers of truth and this indicates that there will be "spiritual" teachers to be a guide.  Truth will be made accessible and will be a direct influence given to the willing.

Isa 30:24  The oxen likewise and the young asses that ear the ground shall eat clean provender, which hath been winnowed with the shovel and with the fan.

Isa 30:25  And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.

Isa 30:26  Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.

Talk about stammering lips. What an example of  "here a little and there a little".  When looking at verse 24 and then verse 25 it is so apparent. ---  And verse 26 describes great astronomical anomalies in the day of the great slaughter.

Isa 33:21  But there the glorious LORD will be unto us a place of broad rivers and streams; wherein shall go no galley with oars, neither shall gallant ship pass thereby.

Isa 33:22  For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us.

This very much sums up the message of Isaiah.

Isa 34:3  Their slain also shall be cast out, and their stink shall come up out of their carcases, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood.

Isa 34:4  And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved    (H4743:  A primitive root; to melt; figuratively to flow, dwindle, vanish:,and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.

Again we see the dead being unburied.  Verse four is one of the verses that describe the

stars, sun, moon and everything else that is in "heaven" looking as if they are falling as a result of          a pole shift.

Isa 34:5  For my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea (Greek for Eden), and upon the people of my curse, to judgment.

Isa 34:9  And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch.

Isa 34:10  It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it (enter)  for ever and ever.

This is so interesting. This is speaking of the vicinity of the southern part of the  Dead Sea.  This was the general area of ancient Sodom and Gomorrah. This is in the vicinity where the healing waters will not heal.    Eze 47:9  And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish,   because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every  thing shall live whither the river cometh.  Eze 47:10  And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from Engedi even unto Eneglaim; they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds,  as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.   Eze 47:11  But the miry places thereof and the marishes thereof shall not be healed; they shall be given to    salt.       My investigation showed "Ineglaim" was located at the entrance of the      Jordan river to the Dead Sea in the north.  Engedi was located 21 miles to the  south of Ineglaim on the western shore. Throughout the millennium this unhealed area (south of Engedi) can be a continual reminder of the result of  refusing to go the way of God.  And the continual burning pitch would be such a stark contrast to the new wonderful "world of peace and plenty", that it may very   well be a significant attraction during the millennium.

.

Isa 35:1  The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.

All of the ten verses of chapter 35 describe the wonderful world to come.

Isa 37:32  For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this.

Isa 37:35  For I will defend this city to save it for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.

Chapters 36 and37 describe how the king of Assyria planned to control Judah.      But it was not to be.

Isa 38:1  In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.

Isa 38:5  Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.

Isa 38:6  And I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria: and I will defend this city.

Isa 38:7  And this shall be a sign unto thee from the LORD, that the LORD will do this thing that he hath spoken;

Isa 38:8  Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.

The sign was about a day that was extended by about 3/4 of an hour.  This is  relatively "small potatoes" compared to the change in the axis that the earth revolves around.

Isa 39:4  Then said he, What have they seen in thine house? And Hezekiah answered, All that is in mine house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shewed them.

Isa 39:5  Then said Isaiah to Hezekiah, Hear the word of the LORD of hosts:

Isa 39:6  Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store until this day, shall be carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD.

Isa 40:3  The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

Isa 40:4  Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:

Isa 40:5  And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

Again, the mountains are to "be made low".  The Smithsonian television channel has shown

us that there are a lot of "bad lands" (rough places).

Isa 40:11  He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.

Isa 40:12  Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?

Isa 40:13  Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him?

Isa 40:14  With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding?

Isn't verse 13 and 14 speaking of the mind and will of God, and not some separate being?

Isa 40:21  Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?

Isa 40:22  It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

Isa 40:28  Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

Isa 41:17  When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

Isa 41:18  I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.

Isa 42:9  Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

Isa 42:10  Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.

Isa 42:21  The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.

Isa 43:4  Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.

Isa 43:5  Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;

Isa 43:6  I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;

Isa 43:7  Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

Isa 43:15  I am Jehovah, your Holy One, Creator of Israel, your King.'

Isa 43:25  I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

We may become a "new man" with the Spirit of God dwelling in us giving us the ability to glorify our  LORD, our Holy One, the creator of Israel, our King   (verse15).

Isa 44:9  They that make a graven image are all of them vanity; and their delectable things shall not profit; and they are their own witnesses; they see not, nor know; that they may be ashamed.

Isa 44:10  Who hath formed a god, or molten a graven image that is profitable for nothing?

Isa 44:28  That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.

It is generally accepted that all 66 chapters of the book of Isaiah were written by  Isaiah, in

two to five periods (depending on a particular commentary), between  740 BCE and c. 686 BCE.

The Babylonian domination began in 605BC with the last departure of the Jews to Babylon

occurring in 582/581BC.  The fall of  Babylon is accepted to have occurred in 539 BC by Cyrus.

There is presently an Israeli coin minted with King Cyrus superimposed by President Trump on

one side with a rendering of the temple on the other. There are very many in Israel  who liken

        President Trump to Cyrus.

Isa 45:5  I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:

Isa 45:6  That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.

Isa 45:7  I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

We were made subject to that which has no value, i.e. vanity (Romans 8:20-23)   and authority was given to Satan these last 6000 years to deceive.  The result  has been wars, death and destruction.

Isa 45:18  For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.

Isa 45:22  Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

Isa 46:9  Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,

Isa 46:10  Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

Isa 47:10  For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me.

Gill:  none so wise and knowing as myself.

Isa 48:18  O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:

Isa 49:10  They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.

Isa 49:11  And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted.

This is the wording of Revelation 7:16.  It's in reference to a people who God has shown "mercy".  They are the precious remnant of the end time tribulation. And      they will be led to springs of water (living water).  Rev 7:16  They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.  Rev 7:17  For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them,  and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

In regards to verse 11, Jamieson Fausset and Brown commentary says about       "mountains a way" — I will remove all obstructions out of the way  (Isa. 40:4)_

Isa 49:22  Thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders.

Isa 49:23  And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.

These are very dramatic words relating to the return of the remnant of all of Israel (houses

         of Israel and Judah).

Isa 50:5  The Lord GOD hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.

Isa 50:6  I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.

Isa 50:7  For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.

Isa 51:11  Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.

Isa 52:7  How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!

Isa 52:14  As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:

Isa 52:15  So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.

When have we ever seen this depiction of Jesus hanging on the cross? Verse 15 is in regard to His blood --- it applies to all people.  Heb 12:24  And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh  better things than that of Abel.    1Pe 1:2  Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and       peace, be multiplied.

Heb 12:26  Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

We are given another promise concerning the new heaven and the new earth.

Isa 53:1  Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

Isa 53:2  For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

Isa 53:3  He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Isa 53:4  Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

Gill:  they looked upon all his sorrows and troubles in life, and at death, as the  just

judgment of God upon him for some gross enormities he had been guilty of;  but in this they

were mistaken. The Vulgate Latin version is, "we esteemed him  as a leprous person"; and so

       Aquila and Symmachus render the word; and from hence the Jews call the Messiah a leper (l);

they say,  "a leper of the house of Rabbi is his name''

Isa 53:5  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Isa 53:6  All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Here is the essence of our salvation. This chapter continues on to its end           describing our Savior.

Isa 54:7  For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.

Isa 54:8  In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer.

Again and again we are shown the gathering of the remnant of Israel.

Isa 55:6  Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

Isa 55:7  Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Isa 55:8  For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

Isa 55:9  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Isa 56:8  The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.

Isa 56:9  All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest.

Again the end time gathering is spoken of but this time there is a reference to those gentiles that will survive the end time afflictions.  There is a continuity from verse 1 to verse 8.  Verse 9 to the end of the chapter changes the subject.

Isa 57:15  For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Isa 58:4  Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.

Isa 58:6  Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

Isa 58:13  If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:

Isa 58:14  Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

Isa 59:1  Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

Isa 59:2  But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

Isa 60:1  Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.

One of our most favorite musical offerings is inspired by this verse.

Isa 60:19  The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.

Isa 60:20  Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.

Isa 60:21  Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land  for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.

Isa 60:11  Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.

This chapter relates to the Spiritual Jerusalem (New Jerusalem) in so many ways             Particularly verses 19-21 and verse 11.  Rev 21:23   And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.   Rev 21:24  And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the  earth do bring their glory and honour into it.   Rev 21:25  And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.    Rev 21:26  And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.

Isa 61:1  The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

Isa 61:2  To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

These are so very well known verses.

Isa 61:8  For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

Isa 61:9  And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed.

Isa 61:10  I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

These verses reflect the glory of the "bride of Christ".  For a comprehensive       study on this subject see the paper titled,  "THE BRIDE OF CHRIST" ---  Her Abode and Her Destiny.

Isa 62:7  And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

Isa 62:8  The LORD hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured:

Isa 62:10  Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.

Isa 62:11  Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

Isa 63:3  I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment.

Isa 63:4  For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.

This blood stained garment of Jesus is, very clearly, the result of Him treading the wine press.  But in Rev 19:13 His clothes are shown to be bloodied before he treads the wine press.  Rev 19:13  And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.   Rev 19:14  And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine   linen, white and clean.   Rev 19:15  And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword,  that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of  iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of  Almighty God.  I believe Isaiah 63:4 may help with understanding.  The blood on his garments, as He sits on His horse, may be the blood of saints that requires retribution and comes in the form of "the day of vengeance".

Isa 63:17  O LORD, why dost thou make us to err from thy ways, and hardenest our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants’ sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.

Isa 63:18  Thy holy people possessed it but a little while: our adversaries have trodden down thy sanctuary.

Isa 63:19  We are become as they over whom thou never barest rule; as they that were not called by thy name.

The remnant of the house of Israel and the house of Judah will return and become one nation - the tribes of thine inheritance.

Eze 37:16  And thou, son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For    Judah, and for the Israel children of Israel his companions: then take      another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all            the house of Israel his companions:  Eze 37:17  and join them for thee       one to another into one stick, that they may become one in thine hand

Isa 64:6  For we are all become as one that is unclean, and all our righteousnesses are as a polluted garment: and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.

Isa 64:7  And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us by means of our iniquities.

Isa 64:8  But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

Isa 65:1  I AM inquired of by them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.

Isa 65:2  I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that is not good, after their own thoughts;

Isa 65:3  a people that provoketh me to my face continually, sacrificing in gardens, and burning incense upon bricks;

Isa 65:4  which sit among the graves, and lodge in the secret places; which eat swine’s flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;

Isa 65:5  which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me, for I am holier than thou: these are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day.

Verse 1 is visibly speaking of gentiles and their interest in Jesus as a result of end time events. While, verse 2 shows the way we have all gone.  Verse 4 and 5 is strong vindication that God's "food laws" will be a standard for all mankind.

Isa 65:12  I will destine you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but ye did that which was evil in mine eyes, and chose that wherein I delighted not.

Isa 65:13  Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed:

This is speaking of those who suffer and die in the tribulation compared to those who survive

Isa 65:17  For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

Isa 65:18  But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.

Isa 65:19  And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.

Isa 65:20  There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.

It is abundantly clear that there will be a new heaven and new earth at the time of a rejoicing inJerusalem.  There will be no more weeping and there will be people that will live to one hundred years of age.

Isa 65:25  The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.

This seems to be more miraculous than the parting of the "reed sea", etc.  Jer  32:27  Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard  for me?

Isa 66:1  Thus said Jehovah: The heavens are My throne, And the earth My footstool, Where is this--the house that ye build for Me? And where is this--the place--My rest?

Isa 66:2  And all these My hand hath made, And all these things are, An affirmation of Jehovah! And unto this one I look attentively, Unto the humble and bruised in spirit, And who is trembling at My word.

Gill:  where is the house that ye build unto me?    what house can be built  for such an immense Being? and how needless as well as fruitless is it to attempt it? where can a place be found to build one in, since the heaven is his throne,   and the earth his footstool?

Isa 66:6  A voice of noise is from the city, a voice from the temple, The voice of Jehovah, giving recompence to His enemies.

Isa 66:7  Before she is pained she hath brought forth, Before a pang cometh to her, She hath delivered a male.

Isa 66:8  Who hath heard anything like this? Who hath seen anything like these? Is earth caused to bring forth in one day? Born is a nation at once? For she hath been pained, Zion also hath borne her sons.

Isa 66:9  `Do I bring to the birth, And not cause to bring forth?' saith Jehovah, `Am not I He who is causing to beget? I have also restrained,' said thy God.

Verse 8 is considered by very many as a most significant fulfillment of prophecy.    Israel became a nation in "one day".  When this happened it set off efforts by the Arabs to destroy Israel. The birth pains came after the birth.

Isa 66:12  For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream, and ye shall suck thereof; ye shall be borne upon the side, and shall be dandled upon the knees.

Isa 66:13  As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

Isa 66:17  They that sanctify themselves and purify themselves to go unto the gardens, behind one in the midst, eating swine’s flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse; they shall come to an end together, saith the LORD.

Isa 66:18  For I know their works and their thoughts: the time cometh, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and shall see my glory.

That glory is the great destruction of the enemies of Israel during the final battle     (Armageddon).

Isa 66:19  And I will set a sign among them, and I will send such as escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the nations.

This is a very informative verse.  A short time before the 7th trump and the resurrection of the saints,  the world knew of the death of the two witnesses.  Rev 11:9  And from among the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations do men look upon their dead bodies three days and a half, and suffer not their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb.   Rev 11:10  And they that dwell on the earth rejoice over them, and make merry; and  they shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwell on the earth.

Isaiah 66:19 shows that people were sent to spread the news of "God's glory".   In other words, satellite communication wasn't available to "declare God's glory" because it was destroyed at the time when the earth's axis changed.  That change fits the timing given in Joel 3:14-16.  Joe 3:14  Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. Joe 3:15  The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. Joe 3:16  The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.    The nearness of the day of the Lord will be some time after the dead bodies were looked upon.  The communication satellites will have been destroyed; therefore the nations had not heard or seen God's glory.

Isa 66:20  And they shall bring all your brethren out of all the nations for an offering unto the LORD, upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring their offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.

After the nations know of "God's glory" they have a "C change" (complete reversal) in their       attitude towards God's people who have been scattered among the nations.

Isa 66:21  And of them also will I take for priests and for Levites, saith the LORD.

These are humans that will officiate at the millennial temple that Ezekiel uses several chapters to describe.  They are not the first fruit --- bride of Christ --- that were destined to be "kings and priests".

Isa 66:22  For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.

.

Once again we are shown that there will be new heavens and a new earth  created shortly

        before the "millennium".

Isa 66:23  And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

The new moons establish God's calendar and the Sabbath continually reminds us that we

are God's creation and provides special, spiritual time, to grow in the grace and knowledge of

         God.

Isa 66:24  And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

Once again we see the unburied bodies of men.  It is interesting that the book of Isaiah ends

with this gruesome thought. I see that the reason for it may be that we had better seriously take

in everything that is offered in the book.
