Evidence of the Timing of the First-Fruit Resurrection
There are four things that have to happen after the resurrection of the saints and before the return of Jesus to rule the world that I can think of. They are significant and at least three of them would take some time to accomplish. The three are as follows.
First one:
The seventh angel sounds the last trump and the saints are then present in heaven during the pouring of the bowls of wrath by the angels. The pouring out the bowls of wrath will take some time.
Rev 8:6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.
Rev 9:13 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,
Rev 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
We know that the last trump, being the seventh trump, will sound and the resurrection of the saints will occur.
1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
The saints are resurrected and meet God in the clouds at the sound of the last trump.
Rev 14:14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
Rev 14:16 and he who is sitting upon the cloud did put forth his sickle upon the earth, and the earth was reaped.
1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Act 1:9 And these things having said--they beholding--he was taken up, and a cloud did receive him up from their sight;
Act 1:10 and as they were looking stedfastly to the heaven in his going on, then, lo, two men stood by them in white apparel,
Act 1:11 who also said, `Men, Galileans, why do ye stand gazing into the heaven? this Jesus who was received up from you into the heaven, shall so come in what manner ye saw him going on to the heaven.'
The seventh angel sounds the "last trump" and then the wrath of God begins to be poured out . The saints go to heaven at the sounding of the seventh trump. It can't be overstated that the saints are in heaven when God's wrath begins. Therefore, being in heaven, they will witness the pouring out the bowls of God's wrath upon the earth.
Rev 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. (this is one of the most important verses in the Bible --- at this moment God becomes the ruler of the world and replaces the 6,000 years of Satan's rule)
Rev 11:16 And the four and twenty elders, - - - -
Rev 11:17 Saying, We give thee thanks, - - - -
Rev 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
Rev 16:1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.
Second one:
A judgment will be made of the rewards given for each of the prophets and the saints. This will be a judgment of the first-fruit of God. We have no idea how this will be done but I think it would take some amount of time.
Rev 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
Luk 19:17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
Luk 19:19 And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.
Third one:
The marriage supper of the Lamb takes place before Jesus returns to rule the earth. I would think that supper would also take some time and not be rushed. If the wedding supper or fourth Holy Day immediately precedes the Day of Atonement or fifth Holy Day they would be ten days apart. I understand that a wedding feast during the time of Jesus could last seven days. That would give ample time for the wedding supper of Jesus and His bride to last seven days. The New Testament is principally all about preparing a "bride" to be married to Jesus. I would think it would be a seven day supper or feast.
Rev 19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
Rev 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
Rev 19:9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
Rev 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. (no mention of angels wearing fine linen, the saints wore "fine" linen when accompanying Jesus to the battle)
The last of the four is; those that overcame the beast will sing the song of Moses. In comparison that song won’t take as long as the events mentioned above. But, it is clear that that song will take place in heaven after the resurrection of the saints. I have mentioned elsewhere that this "Song of Moses" will only be sung by those who overcame the beast. In other words it will be the saints who experienced the deceptions of the beast who will sing that song. It seems as though the song of Moses is sung before the wrath of God is poured out.
Rev 15:1 And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous,
seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled
up the wrath of God.
Rev 15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.
Rev 15:3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.
These are the four things, which I know of, that the resurrected saints will witness in heaven. This will be before the saints descend with Jesus as he overcomes the armies arrayed in the valley of decision. As I see it this will all happen from the time the saints are resurrected at the harvest of the first-fruit, being Pentecost, and Jesus descending with the saints. When we consider the timeline of the third feast to the sixth feast it is reasonable to believe they will all occur within the same year.
